Vandita Morarka, founder of CIVICUS member One Future Collective facilitated our workshop where participants discussed leadership with a feminist and inclusive perspective, on the October 14 and 16.

Facilitator Vandita Morarka reflected upon the fact that a process has started where the concept of leadership is being transformed by questioning the power relationships and privileges that are the source of discrimination with feminist methodology. Concepts of power, privilege, oppression, intersectional feminism and identity were focussed upon and the transition from traditional leadership to feminist leadership was overviewed. Morarka also talked about the basic values and principles of feminist leadership.

Data feminism was discussed on the second day of the workshop. Morarka, who mentioned that data collection is often tackled with with a patriarchal ideology also shared that the data to be used in research should be processed and utilized with a pluralistic point of view.
