urbanlab Socio-cultural Foundation is a Yerevan-based independent urban think-do-share lab, aimed to promote democratisation of urban landscape toward sustainable development in its broader understanding. urbanlab is looking for fellows, who are interested at urban studies, culture, participation.

urbanlab proposes the following activities:

  1. Research on urban issues, with a particular attention to sustainable and participative development,
  2. Community outreach for safeguarding conventional and alternative cultural heritage,
  3. Communication of the organisation activities (printed and digital publications),
    Other activities and projects related to organisations goals.

 EXPECTED PROFILE

  • Education:
    • M.S. in Humanities, in particular; Sociology, Anthropology, Culture Studies
    • B.S. in Urbanism, in particular: Urban Planning, Architecture, Heritage Management
    • B.A. in Arts, Photography, Video Production, Media and/or Graphic Design
  • Professional background: Architecture, Urban Planning, Designer, Researcher
  • Languages: Good command of English
  • Other: Design and Modelling software (Autodesk AutoCad and 3dMax, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop).

CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Carry out fellowship activities 5 days a week, 7 hours a day, days-off: Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

The fellowship will be implemented in Yerevan, but possible visits to other towns in Armenia.
