Society Without Violence is a non-governmental organisation that aims to educate and empower girls and women, promote gender equality and raise the awareness of the public, advocate for women’s representation and participation in all levels of decision making and peace building processes, contribute to the elimination of gender based stereotypes, discrimination and violence, and increase the responsibility and accountability of duty bearers to protect and fulfill women’s rights. The institution is calling professionals from the fields graphic design, photography/videography and journalism.

  • Graphic designer - Increasing organisation’s visibility by creative design. The fellow will be in charge of designing booklets, posters, flyers for the organisation. It will be highly appreciated if the fellow shares his/her knowledge with the staff members and volunteers on some graphic design programs.
  • Photographer - To document organisation’s daily activities in social media by taking photos, developing photo stories.  The fellows is welcomed to come up with self-initiatives for running photo campaigns and  social advertisements on gender related topics, such as body positivity, DV, GBV, discrimination against women, sexism, etc.
  • Journalist - To conduct a range of interviews with successful women both from Turkey and in Armenia to highlight the role of women in different areas of social life.

CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

15-20 hours per week, working days and holidays can be in accordance with the intern’s preference. 

The fellowship will be implemented in Yerevan, Armenia.

PROPOSED TIME FOR THE FELLOWSHIP 

4 months between October 2017 - January 2018
